Role Overview
As a Quality Assurance Engineer – Specialist I, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, usability, and performance of software applications. The role involves executing manual and exploratory testing, supporting automation strategies, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual test cases and test scripts.
- Perform End-to-End, regression, usability, and stress testing.
- Analyze test data and identify discrepancies between expected and actual results.
- Document defects and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in design reviews and Agile development cycles.
- Conduct exploratory testing to validate application functionality.
- Prepare test reports and quality documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain testing standards.
Required Skills
- Experience in Functional Testing and Manual Testing.
- Knowledge of test case creation and test scripting.
- Understanding of performance, regression, accessibility, and time-based testing.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
- Knowledge of testing best practices and QA standards.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to automation testing.
- Basic understanding of Java, Angular, or Node.js.
- API testing experience using Postman or Bruno.
- Knowledge of Cucumber and SQL queries.
- Understanding of mobile application testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
