Position Overview
We are seeking a Manual Tester with 2–5 years of experience in functional testing, database applications, and web services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud platforms like AWS, and web service protocols (REST, SOAP).
This role involves validating the accuracy, performance, and reliability of data-driven systems, while working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
- Perform manual testing of database and cloud-based data storage functionalities, including AWS and FTP environments.
- Validate data transmission processes using REST and SOAP APIs with formats such as JSON and XML.
- Identify, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
- Analyze test results and provide feedback on data quality, system performance, and improvements.
- Ensure data security and compliance standards during testing processes.
- Stay updated with testing tools, methodologies, and QA best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in functional testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and testing processes.
- Experience testing database applications with SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS) and related data management features.
- Hands-on experience testing web services (REST, SOAP) and working with JSON / XML data formats.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of FTP and file transfer integrations.
- Experience with automation testing tools or scripting languages.
- QA certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE.
