Job Description:

As a Software Development Engineer in Test at Akamai, you will impact millions by ensuring our digital services run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll tackle challenges in a distributed systems environment, working with a global team to automate and enhance our testing procedures to improve deployment and integration continuously.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and contribute to system test plans for extensive test coverage.
• Create and deploy automated system tests to simulate real-world scenarios.
• Implement and maintain QA processes from requirements analysis to test design, automation, and analysis.
• Enhance and maintain the CI/CD pipeline programmatically.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 0-2 years of experience in software development or test automation.
• Experience in developing test automation in Python, Java, or similar.
• Strong understanding of internet technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS.
• Proficiency in Jenkins, Groovy, and CI/CD systems.

Required Skills:

• Passion for solving complex problems in distributed systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
• Strong analytical skills and hands-on approach in QA processes.

Desirable Skills:

• Exposure to large-scale system deployments.
• Interest and knowledge in cloud technologies and edge computing.
