Job Description:
As a Software Development Engineer in Test at Akamai, you will impact millions by ensuring our digital services run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll tackle challenges in a distributed systems environment, working with a global team to automate and enhance our testing procedures to improve deployment and integration continuously.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and contribute to system test plans for extensive test coverage.
- Create and deploy automated system tests to simulate real-world scenarios.
- Implement and maintain QA processes from requirements analysis to test design, automation, and analysis.
- Enhance and maintain the CI/CD pipeline programmatically.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 0-2 years of experience in software development or test automation.
- Experience in developing test automation in Python, Java, or similar.
- Strong understanding of internet technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS.
- Proficiency in Jenkins, Groovy, and CI/CD systems.
Required Skills:
- Passion for solving complex problems in distributed systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and hands-on approach in QA processes.
Desirable Skills:
- Exposure to large-scale system deployments.
- Interest and knowledge in cloud technologies and edge computing.
