Job Description

Common Accountabilities:

• Works independently within established processes and procedures to make standard decisions and may assist in solving recurring complex problems.
• Receives guidance and direction from more senior level roles or managers, and provides regular status updates on assigned tasks.
• Possesses technical and functional skills, as well as basic knowledge of the business, through formal education or equivalent work experience.

Specific Accountabilities:

• Implement the test strategy by defining test cases from customer requirements and ensuring traceability with specifications.
• Write test plans for functional and/or non-functional and/or non-regression testing, and improve the non-regression test repository in the Change Request plan.
• Design and perform tests, including designing test cases, developing automated test case scripts, preparing test environment and data, and executing test cases. Also responsible for giving go/no-go for customer test campaigns and ensuring project, product, or release quality control.
• Fix Problem Tracking Records (PTRs) by providing information to developers for defect resolution, checking PTR fixes, and giving go/no-go for the load of Production PTRs. Also responsible for documenting software defects.
• Share knowledge by participating in specification reviews to provide input on testing requirements, and reporting and communicating test activities to the line organization, software developers, and product definitions analysts.
