The Sr. Software Engineer in Test (Sr. SET) is an expert within the project team who focuses on enhancing the testability of applications and creates software to support testing efforts. The Sr. SET should possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with various support groups, QA groups, and dev groups while working independently with minimal oversight.

Additionally, the Sr. SET should exhibit a fast-learning ability to quickly pick up and master new concepts in business, technical, and process-oriented domains.

Description

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Collaborate with the Manager and Lead to identify opportunities for automation, testability challenges, and project risks. Implement process changes and efficiencies.
2. Design and develop an automated testing framework and software for the testing framework.
3. Communicate and interface with internal teams and external support groups.
4. Create and maintain SDLC artifacts, facilitate artifact reviews, and ensure team members comply with SDLC processes.
5. Understand testing methodologies and support test efforts.

Skills & Software Requirements:

Required:

• 4+ years of experience in core Java technology and multi-threading.
• Strong SQL experience preferably in Oracle.
• Preferred: Tibco RV/MQ messaging experience, ATDD framework like FIT/FITnesse, Cucumber, JBehave, Messaging Protocols like FIX.
