Druva is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our agile development team in Pune, Maharashtra, India. This role involves both automated and manual testing, ensuring high-quality standards for our Data Resiliency Cloud. We are looking for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience, strong programming skills, and a passion for quality control.

Job Responsibilities

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will:

• Be part of an agile development team and collaborate closely with developers.
• Develop a detailed understanding of product features and enhancements.
• Perform both automated and manual, white-box, and black-box testing.
• Create feature test plans and strategies based on development milestones.
• Leverage automation frameworks to automate feature tests.
• Own end-to-end test execution for user stories.
• Create and maintain testbed setups.
• Report, track, and update issues and test cases in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 to 3 years in software testing and development.
• Required Skills:
  • Good understanding of operating systems (Windows and Linux).
  • Basic networking concepts.
  • Shell scripting skills.
  • Familiarity with bug and test management tools like Jira and Testrail.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Ruby, or Perl.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, HyperV).
  • Knowledge of RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Awareness of general automation concepts and various testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (SVN, Git).

• Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture.
  • Experience with agile testing methodologies, test pyramid, and quality metrics.

  • Experience with REST API testing.
  • Awareness of security, scale, and performance testing.
