Job Description

• Gather, define and validate requirements: The tester is responsible for understanding the project requirements and ensuring that they are complete, accurate and testable. This involves seeking clarification on requirements as necessary.
• Assess and identify tools for testing: The tester must evaluate and select appropriate testing tools to meet the testing requirements.
• Design test plans: Under their own direction, the tester designs test plans that map back to pre-determined criteria, records and reports test outcomes.
• Participate in reviews: The tester participates in requirement, design and specification reviews, and uses this information to design test plans and test conditions.
• Automate testing tasks: The tester automates testing tasks and builds test coverage through existing or new infrastructure.
• Design, code, verify, test, document, amend and refactor programs/scripts: The tester designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors moderately complex programs/scripts.
• Knowledge of AWS is preferable: The tester should have knowledge of AWS.
• Create work plans: The tester is responsible for creating work plans, monitoring and tracking the work schedule for on-time delivery as per defined quality standards.
• Develop and guide team members: The tester should develop and guide team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
• Participate in discussions: The tester participates in functional as well as technical discussions with the client and team.
• Prepare and submit status reports: The tester prepares and submits status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
