Job Description
As the R&D Quality Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will have a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge multiplatform products for the digitalization of grid automation business. Your role will involve performing and tracking quality engineering activities in line with the Quality Assurance Plan, and reporting on the quality status and metrics to project and quality teams.

You will also establish standards, guidelines, and process tailoring, monitor adherence to processes and standards, and provide visibility to management on non-conformances that may impact product or process quality. In addition, you will participate in pre-Gate QA audits, prepare and own the Document Control Plan, drive the quality improvement program, and develop the quality management system processes.
Qualification And Experience
- To excel in this role, you should have a Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Diploma in quality assurance, software engineering, computer science, or related disciplines.
- Experience with Agile methods such as test-driven development, SAFe, and SCRUM will be beneficial, as will any other software or IT expertise, including security, safety, communication protocols, system engineering, testing, performance engineering, quality assurance, and process development.
- You should also be proficient in using development tools such as Visual Studio, Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, and quality management tools like SonarQube and Klocwork.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
- With your expertise and dedication, you will play a critical role in developing innovative products that enhance reliability, situational awareness, and data management in power systems.
