Job Title– Test Engineer, Kolkata

What you ’ll be doing
Hitachi Vantara seeks a elderly Test mastermind with strong hands- on specialized chops that gauge Hitachi or Competitor enterprise storehouse arrays, replication products, SAN switches, Operating system, scripting etc. The existent will be responsible to contribute on replication performance tests and other result tests with minimal backing from peers.

Responsibilities
- Set up test terrain and run performance benchmarking tests on replication terrain with Hitachi storehouse systems.
- Produce and validate detailed test plans, performance missions, perpetration.
- Attendants and other specialized documents that detail the configurations, test methodology results and Stylish Practices.
- Work with Engineering and mates (if applicable) to duly set test and performance pretensions and maximize results.
- Design, develop, and maintain a dynamic lab terrain that can be fleetly configured to suite specific tackle or software results.
- Produce and give advanced- position specialized training to System Engineers (& (& another specialized cult as applicable).
- Develop automated scripts for testing, setup medication etc. (using Python, Shell, etc.).
- Give frequent status updates and reports to keep operation up to date.
Qualifications
- Experience in performance benchmarking, tuning and analysis. train, Content and/ or Block performance tailback identification is critical for this part.
- Good experience on NAS, train storehouse armature, configuration, and operation.
- Experience on software defined warehouses, configuration, provisioning, troubleshooting.
- Experience in Cloud platform and storehouse administration is an advantage.
- Experience with other virtualization technologies similar as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper- V is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of the Linux operating system.
- Good hands-on experience with HDS storehouse or at an expert position with IBM/ HP/ EMC/ NetApp storehouse in block and train services.
- Good storehouse knowledge in RAID, fragment- subsystem, train system, shot, replication (in- system, remote) and deduplication.
- Excellent knowledge in networking and storehouse protocols NFS, CIFS, TCP/ IP, Fiber Channel, Storage Area Network.
- Coding experience (in python, Perl, shell, etc.) to automate test scripts is a big plus
- Excellent jotting and attestation chops; veritably good verbal dispatches (including donations and furnishing specialized training).
- Broad exposure and experience in integrating tackle results including waiters (UNIX, LINUX, and Windows) with storehouse systems.
- Excellent internal and external client chops. retain the capability to work and communicate with the elderly specialized and administrative situations including advisers, SE, PM, VP, etc.
- A platoon player and fast relinquishment to changes (specialized and process) is a must-have.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ Computer Science or original.
