Your Role and Responsibilities:

At IBM India Systems Development Lab, we’re seeking Firmware Test Engineering Professionals for our IBM Power Systems Firmware team.

Your Responsibilities for Software Testing Job:

Test system firmware on a range of IBM Power Systems, from entry-level servers to high-end enterprise servers with robust RAS features.
Collaborate with OpenPOWER partners and the OpenBMC community for firmware testing and support.
Drive firmware feature testing to ensure a high-quality product.
Automate tests as part of the agile development process.
Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and design.
Work with other teams to define and understand requirements.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of product lines and development groups.
Innovate continuously to enhance the customer experience with firmware features.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

3 to 8 years of firmware testing experience.
Proven experience with automation frameworks.
Proven experience with Python and Perl scripting languages.
Proven experience with C, C++, and Linux.
Proven experience with Git and Gerrit.
Exposure to the embedded environment.
Strong understanding of computer architecture.
Exposure to server domain is a plus.
Interest in low-level hardware is beneficial.
Understanding of network and security testing.
Team-based software development experience and strong communication skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

Automation using tools like Ansible.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
Exposure to Github tools, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
