Microchip Technology, Inc. is seeking a skilled Senior Engineer I – Software Quality Assurance to join their dynamic team in Bangalore. Responsibilities:

• Define and implement processes, templates, checklists, and work instructions according to ASPICE 3.1 standards.
• Conduct process improvement management activities.
• Conduct trainings on ASPICE and corporate software processes.
• Perform gap analysis between ASPICE 3.1 compliant corporate software development processes and ASPICE 4.0.
• Define quality assurance (QA) strategy for assigned projects.
• Facilitate process implementation and support project teams throughout the project lifecycle to achieve ASPICE CL3.
• Define project performance metrics and perform review of work products.
• Conduct internal ASPICE assessments and facilitate external ASPICE assessments.
• Escalate non-conformances as per QA strategy.
• Generate QA status reports and present them to management.
• Perform release readiness audits.
• Some travel required (0%-25%).

Qualifications:

• BE/B. Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred (or equivalent).
• 3-8 years of experience working on various standards like ASPICE, CMMI, etc., in software industries.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies/processes and relevant standards (e.g., Automotive SPICE®, CMMI).
• Practical experience in implementing ASPICE 3.1 in projects.
• Experience in ISO 21434 and ISO 26262 is a plus.
• Fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, methods, tools, and standards.
• Good knowledge in project management, risk management, metrics management, etc.
• Must understand how and when to perform software audits/assessments.
• High assertiveness, good facilitation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Flexible with travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Automotive SPICE® Certified Provisional Assessor.
• Hands-on experience in ASPICE implementation up to CL 3.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and ISO 26262 standards.
• Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management tools like Polarion, IBM-ALM, etc.
• Knowledge of ASPICE for Cybersecurity.
