As a Firmware Validation Test Engineer, you will:

Test Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive test plans, with a focus on firmware validation for a range of products including IoT Devices, EDC, NFC, FastTag, Bluetooth, and microcontroller-based devices.
Test Development: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks to validate firmware functionality across various embedded technologies.
Test Execution: Execute test cases, promptly identify issues, and report defects while working closely with developers to ensure timely resolutions.
Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure firmware updates or changes do not negatively impact functionality across different embedded technologies.
Performance Testing: Conduct performance and stress testing to evaluate firmware capabilities and limitations in various use cases.
Test Environment Setup: Set up and maintain test environments and testbeds that replicate real-world usage scenarios for IoT Devices and embedded products.
Documentation: Systematically document test procedures, results, and identified issues to maintain comprehensive records.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including firmware developers, hardware engineers, and product managers, to align on firmware validation goals and priorities.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements in firmware validation, test automation, and testing tools.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
6-10 years of proven experience in firmware validation and testing, with expertise in IoT Devices and multiple embedded technologies (EDC, NFC, FastTag, Bluetooth, microcontroller-based systems).
Familiarity with wireless communication protocols, MQTT, and IoT devices.
Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, JAVA, C/C++) for test automation.
Familiarity with audio processing, speech recognition, and audio testing.
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
Knowledge of hardware-software integration testing.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
