About the Role
Texas Instruments is offering an exciting opportunity for Test Engineers to work on testing highly integrated Motor Driver semiconductor devices used in rapidly growing markets. The role involves developing and executing test strategies for complex mixed-signal integrated circuits while collaborating with design and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design team to understand product specifications.
- Develop test plans, test programs, and characterization programs.
- Design ATE hardware interface boards.
- Debug and characterize silicon on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
- Correlate test results with bench measurements.
- Analyze silicon test results and support failure analysis activities.
- Perform statistical yield analysis and optimize test efficiency.
- Work with production teams to enable high-volume manufacturing.
- Implement test strategies for new Motor Driver products.
- Conduct device debugging, validation, and silicon qualification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in semiconductor testing.
- Experience with ATE systems such as Teradyne Eagle or V93K.
- Hands-on experience in test program development and characterization.
- Knowledge of analog and mixed-signal testing techniques.
- Experience with lab equipment such as:
- Oscilloscopes
- Power supplies
- Source meters
- Electronic loads
- Data analysis using tools like Spotfire, DataPower, or STDF-based tools.
- Experience with yield improvement and test time optimization.
- Understanding of the IC product development lifecycle.
Preferred Skills
- Mixed-signal testing expertise on TI roadmap testers.
- Experience transferring test programs to offshore manufacturing sites.
- Programming skills in:
- C++
- Python
- C#
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or Subversion.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
