Wabtec Corporation seeks a proficient Lead Engineer – Software Testing (Brakes SW) to join its dynamic team in Bengaluru, India. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Brake Control Unit and Wheel Side Protection products. Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering
• 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in embedded real-time software design and development, with at least 2 years in unit testing

Responsibilities:

• Develop test cases and setup test environment
• Perform unit testing and generate structural and test case results reports
• Debug and resolve segment faults in real-time embedded systems
• Collaborate with cross-teams, developers, project managers, system integrators, test engineers, and customers
• Participate/support design verification/validation in end customer sites in India & abroad
• Promote and apply industry best practices in embedded unit testing
• Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
• Participate as a presenter/reviewer in technical and program reviews

Qualifications:

• Strong technical aptitude and expertise in applicable engineering tools and systems
• Knowledge of Python under embedded Linux operating environment (an added advantage)
• Experience in all phases of product engineering/development cycle
• Practical experience with SEIs CMM/CMMI
• Exposure to Agile methodology of software development (an added advantage)
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Italian/French language (an added advantage)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel to end customer sites in India & abroad

Desirable Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Hands-on experience with C language, assembly language, C library creation, debugging, and executable files creation
• Hands-on experience in Trace32
