PROCESS BRIEF
The Content Industrialization- QA Department at FactSet is responsible for covering and testing the quality, thickness, and trust ability of FactSet’s windows and web- grounded(pall) operations. The department consists of different sub-teams to cover retrogression and functional testing liabilities for colorful customer- facing products and internal operations of FactSet.
SUB-PROCESS BRIEF
The automation platoon is responsible for creating automated test cases for a variety of FactSet products across different platforms similar as windows and web- grounded operations. The platoon is responsible for performing functional, Integration, and web service testing and working in collaboration with the QA leads software engineering, and design platoon to understand the functional and specialized specifications along with the advancements to the operation and produce and maintain the automated tests and insure they’re executed during the release cycles.
Responsibility
- Design automated tests to validate operations by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically.
- This includes determining precedence for test scripts and creating prosecution plans to apply these scripts.
- Dissect bug reports and highlight problems to help identify fixes for them.
- Communicate specialized challenges and roadblocks for automating test cases share in design meetings with Content Engineering, Manual Testing platoon, and Project lead to gather and understand business prospects.
- Get familiar with a wide range of FactSet operations and acquire the customer/ end stoner’s perspective share in training and learn the processes and technologies used in- house.
- Ensure design deadlines are met and instantly communicate to the Team lead implicit detainments and associated reasons.

Needed Chops
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in software testing with robotization tools similar as UFT/ Selenium/ Protractor/ Test Complete.
- Should have strong experience in automating either desktop or web- grounded operations.
- Should have strong knowledge in development/ scripting chops in common languages like Java Script/ Type- Script.
- Hands- on experience in CICD channel (Ex Jenkins, GitHub).
- Should have exposure to relational databases like SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Should be open to learning new programming languages and conforming to changing business geographies and workflows.
- Keen to learn new technologies.
- Good communication, logical, and problem- working chops.
- Should have knowledge of robotization tools, SDLC, STLC process, and QA generalities.
- Familiar either with interpretation control tools similar as Git, SVN, and TortoiseSVN
