Your Role and Responsibilities:

• You will be joining the IBM Cloud Engine Development Team in India as a Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer.
• Your expertise in web application and systems-level experience will be utilized to contribute to our dedication to innovation and success in the cloud market.
• The primary responsibility of the IBM Cloud Engine Development team is to ensure performance, predictability, efficiency, resiliency, and security on IBM’s latest cloud platform.
• As a member of the Engine Team, you will work closely with developers and stakeholders from different teams to test modifications and enhancements to the current codebase.
• Your role will involve problem-solving and ensuring the smooth functionality of the system by collaborating with various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and execute QA tests on code changes delivered by IBM Cloud engine developers.
2. Implement automated tests using Python Pytest framework and IBM Cloud APIs to validate system capabilities.
3. Monitor the execution of automated tests with each release to ensure no regression has occurred.
4. Develop tests to ensure seamless integration of open source and commercial enterprise applications used by IBM Cloud.
5. Maintain focus on end users and project goals throughout the development process.
6. Collaborate closely with product management, developers, and stakeholders to meet application needs and expectations.
7. Uphold the highest levels of technical discipline and excellence to set a standard for the larger development organization.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

1. 12+ years of software testing experience.
2. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
3. Solid experience with SOAP and REST API testing.
4. Solid experience with RabbitMQ or similar messaging infrastructure.
5. Solid experience with Python and Pytest, or similar testing framework.
6. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

1. Experience with Apache ZooKeeper.
2. Experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
