Position Overview:

• The Software Development Engineer in Test conducts manual and automated software verification testing.
• They work with a team of Software Developers, Test Engineers, Designers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and user representatives.
• The goal is to create a user-friendly software application.
• Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, designing and developing test plans and automated test cases, executing tests, and analyzing test results.
• They investigate reported issues and write clear, concise bug reports.
• They troubleshoot difficult issues and develop automation/performance solutions.
• They participate in code reviews, collaborate with QA management and product owners, and execute planned testing tasks.
• They comply with regulatory procedures and frameworks.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science related technology field or related work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software development and/or automated software testing.
• Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, Python, or Java.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks, libraries, and tools such as Selenium, Puppeteer, CodeceptJS, Mocha, Capybara, SoapUI pro, or custom-made tools.
• Ability to solve technical problems independently and take initiative.
• Experience in mobile automation and performance testing, and automating integration testing is a plus.
• Experience with web-based applications and relational and non-relational databases, REST API, microservices, and their architecture.
• Familiarity with SaaS technologies/products and professional software engineering practices.
• Basic knowledge of development tools such as Git and VS Code.
• Excellent documentation and knowledge transfer skills.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to write technical documentation in a clear, concise manner and bridge the communication gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to coach and train less experienced team members.
