Full Job Description

The Fares Platform Engineering Team offers a world-class Fares computation engine that is both simple and transparent. It comes bundled with built-in features that support various lines of business within Uber. The team, located in Bangalore, is seeking an experienced and passionate Application Development Engineer to join them. The selected candidate will help to reimagine how to drive quality, testing, and efficiency throughout the product lifecycle.

To achieve this, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:

1. Create test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
2. Develop automated tests, scripts, and tools to enable CI/CD, efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products.
3. Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
4. Interpret and report testing results and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.
5. Work with software engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.
6. Engage in code reviews to ensure testability and unit test designs.
7. Collaborate across teams to enhance the total product quality.
