Job Description:

Role Proficiency:

• Performs tests with strict compliance, following minimal instructions.

Outcomes:

• Constructs systematic test cases for applications based on customer user stories or requirements.
• Executes systematic test cases for applications based on customer user stories or requirements.
• Ensures that new or revised components or systems perform as expected.
• Ensures standards are met, including usability, performance, reliability, or compatibility.
• Documents test results and reports defects.

Measures of Outcomes:

• Timely completion of all tasks.
• Coverage of requirements/user stories based on test cases/scripts.
• Number of test cases/scripts developed compared to benchmarks.
• Number of test cases/scripts executed compared to benchmarks.
• Number of valid defects.

Expected Outputs:

• Test Design: Identifying testable scenarios and creating a test scenario document.
• Development: Updating the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) and obtaining sign-off on test scenarios.
• Execution: Creating test cases and test data based on identified scenarios, conducting smoke testing for system readiness, executing test cases/scripts, identifying and tracking defects, retesting, and logging productivity data.

Requirements Management:

• Participating, seeking clarification, understanding, and reviewing requirements.

Domain Relevance:

• Testing features/components with a good understanding of the business problem being addressed for the client.

Estimation:

• Estimating time, effort, and resource dependence for one’s own work.

Knowledge Management:

• Consuming and contributing knowledge.

Skill Examples:

• Reviewing user stories/requirements to identify ambiguities.
• Designing test cases/scripts based on user stories/requirements.
• Applying techniques to design efficient test cases/scripts.

• Methodologies, tools, types of testing, testing processes, and testing standards.

Additional Comments:

• Requires 5+ years of experience in QA Automation, specifically in automation testing using Selenium (Java), web UI testing experience with REST API testing, and a basic understanding of SQL.
• Must have experience in testing software functional end-to-end and integration, designing, writing, and maintaining test scenarios and test cases.
• Should have a willingness to learn test scenario analysis, apply it, and adopt ongoing best practices.
• Should be focused on delivering high-quality testing outcomes.
• Preferred experience in Agile methodologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot and triage issues based on logs.
• Automation experience is preferable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Healthcare experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Write and execute automation scripts in discussion with the customer.
• Create test scenarios covering functional and non-functional requirements.
• Execute testing and provide continuous feedback to the development team.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
• Identify, record, thoroughly document, and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
• Monitor debugging process results and investigate the causes of non-conforming software, training users to implement solutions.
• Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
