As a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager at Verizon, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all software developed, both in agile and non-agile methodologies, meets the required quality standards. You will manage a team of QA analysts and work closely with the development team to ensure timely completion of all quality assurance tasks, adhering to the agreed-upon standards. Your role will involve applying your expertise in new technologies to find unique solutions to complex problems. We aim to provide a seamless customer experience, and you will play a vital role in achieving that.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability before delivery.
2. Identify and establish appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
3. Communicate quality standards and parameters to the QA team, product development team, and relevant staff members.
4. Coordinate product testing processes and actively participate in product testing.
5. Identify, analyze, and resolve issues, bugs, defects, and recurring problems across multiple products, recommending effective solutions.
6. Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
7. Ensure the team possesses a strong understanding of requirements and features.
8. Lead and motivate the team to execute priorities, contribute new ideas, and provide innovative solutions.
9. Manage multiple complex projects, ensuring detailed releases, improved production quality, and alignment with business objectives.
10. Implement new tools and processes to meet evolving business objectives.

Work Location: This is a hybrid role, combining work from home and assigned office days as determined by your manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience balancing multiple software development or automation projects.
• Experience working on digital platforms and enhancing the digital customer experience.
• Experience managing vendors.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance & Testing Methodologies and Key Performance Indicators.

Preferred (Even Better if You Have):

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Strong attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
• Budgeting and financial management skills for resource allocation and expense tracking.
• Strong communication skills.
• Project management skills, including creating project plans, scheduling tasks, managing resources, and tracking progress.
• Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Quality Engineering.
• Experience in performance testing, Chaos testing, and End-to-End testing.
• Knowledge of industry best practices in enterprise-class software development and agile methodology.
• Experience as a Software Quality Manager.
• Experience in the Telecom domain.
• Experience in full project life cycle implementation.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and meet critical deadlines.
• Software Quality Certifications.
