Job Description:

Role:

As an Engineer in Quality, your responsibilities include:

  1. Owning and maintaining the quality of large features, products, or services, including end-user experience and impact.
  2. Taking complete ownership of the quality process and metrics for all releases.
  3. Independently defining the execution path for your area of work.
  4. Accounting for external dependencies, prioritizing tasks, and managing conflicting timelines.
  5. Establishing predictability by notifying stakeholders about any changes or delays during execution.
  6. Leading change by advocating its need, thinking logically, and presenting credible arguments.
  7. Collaborating and building strong working relationships with peers and team members.
  8. Leveraging expertise to understand complex problems and logically solve them.
  9. Delivering solutions despite incomplete information and managing unforeseen changes.
  10. Adapting comfortably to change and shifting priorities.
  11. Breaking down medium-sized testing tasks into smaller components.
  12. Identifying and resolving bottlenecks in runtime.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  1. BTech, MTech, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent).
  2. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
  3. Proficiency in critical thinking, debugging, and communication.
  4. Ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and report results.
  5. At least 3 years of software development and testing experience.
  6. Experience in automation for UI, mobile applications, APIs, web, and performance testing using tools such as Espresso, XCUITest, Appium, Selenium, Rest-Assured, and Locust.
  7. Experience working with and customizing test automation frameworks.
  8. Strong coding skills in at least one object-oriented programming or scripting language like Java, Python, or Swift.
  9. Experience in testing mobile apps on iOS and Android platforms.
  10. Exposure to performance or non-functional testing.
  11. Knowledge of test methodologies, tools, software testing standards, build systems, and product development cycles.
  12. Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins and version control systems like Git.
  13. Creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness.
  14. Willingness and flexibility to handle multiple high-priority assignments.
  15. Exposure to DevOps tech stack, including Docker, Jenkins, Mesos, and Marathon.
