Your Opportunity
The Database Query Optimization group at Teradata Labs has an opening for Software mastermind for testing. In this part, you’re anticipated to contribute to testing conditioning for new advancements and advanced features for the Teradata Vantage Core Platform.
Liabilities/ intriguing Work You’ll Do
- Responsible for working with Product proprietor and/ or point engineers and inventor to come- up good test cases.
- Responsible for the quality assurance of the software/ point deliverables by the platoon seeker would be responsible to automate functional and performance testing and setup CI/ CD channels and contribute to the delivery and nonstop support of robust, flexible, and quality database products.
- Collaborates with platoon to develop new testing methodologies to ameliorate.
- Optimizer quality and robustness and dissect the effectiveness of the features.
- Develop test cases for performance characterization of features for veritably large- scale database software running in a largely resemblant and distributed terrain.
- Work with inventors and design Lead to identify critical performance areas and high- threat areas of the Teradata Query Optimizer performance.
- Share in Closed Loop Corrective Action analysis to ameliorate Optimizer quality, robustness, and pungency.
- Workshop with a platoon of inventors and engineers and helps in testing and validating early proffers and prototypes.
Qualifications/ Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (B. Tech) or related discipline.
- At least 3 years of affiliated exploration or assiduity, or master’s degree in computer science (M. Tech/ MCA) or related discipline.
- At least 1 year of affiliated exploration or assiduity experience.

Ideally, you will also have the following.
- Good knowledge and experience using SQL language.
- Knowledge of Teradata RDBMS a else.
- Capability to understand point specifications and design high quality test cases to exploit performance and functionality.
- Strong programming/ scripting chops in python, shell script or C/ C are desirable.
- Understanding of Zilches fundamentals and data structures would be good.
- Good understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS)/ Public Cloud technologies is desirable.
- Passionate, tone- motivated, threat taker, pro-active, action taker, good prophet (written & verbal), creative, and platoon- acquainted Experience using nimble software development styles and tools.
Location
